Doing Time

Time change was last weekend. Time to "fall back." All summer long, I've been getting up when it is still dark and returning home as the sun sets. As the leaves drop and the earth begins its winter slumber, we all reset our clocks.

I have a dear friend that will celebrate her birthday this month. She's not too excited--thinks she's getting "too old" for birthdays. Plus, my friend has had a rough year. All this adds up to her dreading her birthday. I encouraged her to consider this a chance to reset her clock.

Our lives are all about resurrection. Each morning, season and new year, we get another chance to begin again, and refresh our faith. When we commit our lives to Christ, we have the opportunity to become new people.
