Be An Angel

"No," I said, "I just love you." "No," she persisted, "God used you to bless me!" I didn't think much about what she said, until Sunday morning. Waking up, I didn't feel well. But since it was Easter, I didn't want to miss church. About mid-way through worship, I had to rush to the bathroom. The Hubster became concerned about my absence and asked two of the ladies in Children's Church to look in on me. These young women ministered to me in such a loving way, I was humbled and honored. Me, too. With an endless To Do list, I don't know how I'll get it all done. If you're facing this kind of day, week or month, let me suggest something...helping others. When you're lifting someone up, shouldering their burdens, being the hands and feet of Christ, you are fulfilling God's commandments. He is so pleased with your service, our Heavenly Father will send others to lighten your load and may even reorganize your priorities. Life can be exhausting, and there are those who would spend all their time tearing others down, instead of laying a foundation of love. As you encourage those you meet, our Savior will send encouragers in your direction. Slow down and look around. Someone needs a hand up. God's time is unhurried. Why not try ...
