Big, Bold and Beautiful

Have you ever seen a deflated hot air balloon? It doesn't look like much, all folded up in a small bag. Easy to be overlooked, when you can't see the inflated grandeur. Only when it is opened, and the balloon shows its full effect--can you see that it is big, bold and beautiful.

My dear friend has a new blog. She has been contemplating writing for a couple of years, but always came up with an excuse. Recently, she took the plunge, and I couldn't be more proud.

You must be brave, to divulge your life and thoughts on such a public scale. My friend has a unique voice; and with that gift comes a serious responsibility.

What makes us unique needs to be shared and seen. We have a "high calling" from God. Each of us are capable of making a significant mark on the world. Others will be drawn to our motivation and inspiration. Our insights can bring clarity and new thinking.

If what we are waiting for is perfect timing or personal feelings, that may not happen. What we must do is listen for the Holy Spirit's calling, and press toward the mark.

Notable Quote:

Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
