The Final Garden: Paradise

Revelation 21:1-4 (KJV) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Heaven

In the Bible, Revelation 21 and 22 reveal the beauty of our final garden, Paradise. Scripture describes the return of the Tree of Life. From the Garden of Eden in Genesis, where Adam and Eve were banished after eating the tree's fruit, to the New Jerusalem, where it spans both sides of the river of the water of life. At the beginning of the world and in the end, the Tree of Life is there. It produces 12 kinds of fruit, one for every month, and the leaves will "heal the nations." In this, God is our Provider and Restorer.

In Eden, the first humans lost their chance to have face-to-face contact with our Savior, but we will be fully restored in Heaven. Every garden mentioned in the Bible represents a stage in life and God is in every garden.

My friend, you may feel like your life is broken beyond repair. Or that it is too late for you to change. No matter how dark it feels right now, your future is full and bright. Our God provides restoration and new growth through Him.

Just like a garden in springtime, we are given a new life and a new beginning through Christ.
