Once a year, about this time, I volunteer to greet guests at Rainbows United's largest fundraiser of the year, Fashion Passion. It's a huge event with a buffet dinner, live and silent auctions, runway fashion show and over 650 guests dressed in their finest attire.

Throughout the evening, I help people find their seats, escort them to the check-in desk and make sure they have everything they need. The last guest usually leaves around 10-10:30 p.m., and then I help clean up and leave an hour or so later. Never once, during that evening, do I sit down.
Before Christ came to Earth, the priests that cared for the temple and carried out sacrifices never sat down while they worked. And then, came a Man, who gave up His life for billions of selfish, ungrateful humans. The single sacrifice of Jesus was powerful enough to exchange an eternity of sin for an eternity of grace.
He finished the job and sat down.
