I love Valentine's Day. It's my favorite holiday, by far. It's a day set aside to show all the people in my life just how much they mean to me.

This year, I did it up big. I wore red every day last week. The party-planning article I wrote appeared in the Rainbows United Facebook page. I bought gifts for several loved ones, bought candy for all the kids I know, sent countless Valentine's cards, planned two big parties, and had a very exclusive celebration with the Hubster. I also received many heartfelt cards, yummy chocolates, lovely presents, sweet emails and best of all--wonderful hugs.

It is a privilege to have the life I do--I am so grateful to God. He showers me with matchless love on a daily basis. I believe when I share His love with others, it's a little taste of what Heaven will be like.

When you're lifting someone up, shouldering their burdens, being the hands and feet of Christ, you are fulfilling God's commandments. He is so pleased with your service, our Heavenly Father will send others to lighten your load and may even reorganize your priorities. The day I started work at Rainbows United, I took the exit ramp onto K96 and encountered this billboard. Somehow, I felt that God had placed it there just for me. I know that Fidelity Bank in Wichita has a publicity campaign that encourages business owners and citizens to fight back against the perilous economic times we are facing. Our business had closed three months before, and I really needed a job. The billing specialist position at RUI came as a complete surprise. I knew their reputation and jumped in with both feet. Still, I was nervous. Could I do it? Was I strong enough? The billboard is still there, and I ask myself the same question every morning.
